SWITCH TO COMPLETE
Complete cares about your Best Friend. We have one of the most well-known nutritionists in South Africa on hand, to ensure that the most balanced formula possible is used in Completes’ range of products.
It is essential to produce food of consistent quality, bag after bag. We achieve this goal by using only optimum ingredients. Complete has a NO COMPROMISE policy when it comes to the ingredients used in the Complete product range. Therefore, some of the ingredients used in our quality products are sourced from abroad, the reason being that various inspections take place in the country of origin as well as on arrival in South Africa.
Many years of scientific research and practical, hands-on experience go into producing a suitable range of pet foods with added special ingredients that meet all your Best Friend’s needs and requirements. Complete offers you a range of products that are fully balanced, supplying your pet with all the nutrition needed for a healthy, balanced lifestyle at an affordable price. This leaves Best Friend happy, and your pocket smiling – without any need to compromise.
It is important to bear in mind that this is quality pet food that contains ingredients such as fats, oils and protein. As such it needs to be stored correctly, in a cool, dry place.
Changing your dogs diet
Should pet owners simply switch over to a new brand of pet food without any due consideration for the pets themselves? Changing brands too quickly will result in discomfort and possible digestive problems, which manifest in diarrhea or a change in the colour and texture of their stools.
So as to make the transition smoothly, it is recommended that you change over gradually. Start the process well before your stock of the old brand is depleted. Give your pets a little of the new food mixed in with the old and as the days go by, add more and more of the new brand proportionately until the switch is complete, as recommended below-
- To avoid an upset tummy for the first two days, use a mix of 75% old brand and 25% of the new brand to which you are switching.
- The next two days mix 50% of each brand (old and new) together and feed your dog with this mixture.
- For another two or three days, mix 75% of the new brand together with only 25% of the old brand of dog food.
After this week of successfully changing your dog’s diet, you should be able to feed your Best Friend the new brand of dog food without any unpleasant consequences.
