Competition Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Complete Pet Nutrition Holiday Competition (“Competition”), run by Valemount Trading (Pty) Ltd. By entering, participants confirm that they understand and agree to these Terms in full. Anyone who does not agree should refrain from participating.

Please read carefully – these Terms outline eligibility, responsibilities, and important rules relating to the Competition.

1. Competition Duration

  • The Competition begins on 1 October 2025 and ends on 31 March 2026.
  • The winner will be drawn and announced on 1 April 2026.

2. Eligibility

The Competition is open to:

  • South African citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 years or older.
  • Individuals with valid proof of identity (South African ID or passport) and residency.

The following are not eligible:

  • Employees, directors, or contractors of Complete Pet Nutrition or its partner organisations.
  • Suppliers, distributors, marketing agencies, or anyone professionally connected to this promotion.
  • Immediate family members (spouses, siblings, children, or parents) of the above individuals.

3. How to Enter

  • One (1) entry is allocated for each qualifying bag purchased during the Competition Period.
  • To validate an entry, participants must keep the original proof of purchase (till slip, invoice, or equivalent).
  • Entries must be submitted with accurate personal and contact details. Incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information may result in disqualification.

4. Prize Package

The prize is a 7-night, all-inclusive holiday for four at a 4-star hotel (specific property to be confirmed).

The prize covers:

  • Return flights from Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Durban.
  • 7 nights’ all-inclusive accommodation.

The following are not included:

  • Flights from any other departure points.
  • Travel for additional guests.
  • Optional extras (e.g., spa treatments, activities, excursions).

Booking & Travel:

  • The prize must be booked through Complete Pet Nutrition’s appointed travel agency no later than 30 April 2026.
  • Travel dates are valid between 1 May 2026 and 19 December 2026.

5. Entry Conditions

  • Participants may submit multiple entries, provided each entry is supported by its own proof of purchase.
  • If selected as the winner, entrants must provide receipts matching the number of entries they claimed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and a redraw.
  • Entries must be made using the entrant’s own RICA-compliant mobile number. Entries submitted from someone else’s number may be disqualified.
  • Certain mobile contracts may not support USSD entry. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure their device or contract allows entry, or to use the online alternative provided.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be chosen via an audited random draw conducted by an independent third party.
  • The Competition team will attempt to contact the winner for up to 3 business days after the draw. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected.
  • The winner will be announced on Complete Pet Nutrition’s official communication channels, including website, newsletters, and/or social media.

7. Publicity Consent

  • With the winner’s permission, Complete Pet Nutrition may request to use their name, image, or comments for publicity, social media, and PR purposes. Participation in publicity is optional and not a condition for accepting the prize.

8. Liability Disclaimer

  • Participation in the Competition is voluntary. Entrants accept all risks associated with their involvement.
  • Complete Pet Nutrition is not responsible for:
  • Any loss, injury, damage, or costs arising directly or indirectly from entering or using the prize.
  • Travel arrangements, which remain subject to the terms and conditions of the travel provider and hotel.

9. Fair Play & Technical Issues

  • Any attempts at tampering, false entries, or fraudulent activity will result in disqualification.
  • Complete Pet Nutrition is not liable for technical problems, including network failures, system errors, or entries not received.

10. Data Protection

  • All personal information collected will be used strictly for the administration of this Competition and handled in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

11. Changes & Final Decisions

  • Complete Pet Nutrition reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition if necessary.
  • All decisions by Complete Pet Nutrition regarding the Competition are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
