Changing your pet’s diet

To switch your pet smoothly to Complete pet feeds, make the change gradually. Start the process before your old brand runs out. Mix a little of the new feed in with the old, increasing the amount of Complete as the days go by until the transition is complete.

Step 1

To avoid an upset tummy for the first two days, use a mix of 75% old brand and 25% of the new brand to which you are switching.

Step 2

For the next two days, mix 50% of each brand (both the old and new) together and feed your dog with this mixture.

Step 3

For another two or three days, mix 75% of the new brand together with only 25% of the old brand of dog food and continue feeding.

Step 4

After a week of changing your dog’s diet, feed only Complete for a comfortable, smooth transition.
* Switching brands of pet feed too quickly may result in discomfort or digestive upsets such as diarrhoea or a change in stool texture.
