What to Look for in Dog Treats

If you read our previous blog on dog treats, you’ll know that they shouldn’t exceed 10% of your dog’s daily calories. You would’ve also learnt that it’s ok to spoil them every now and then and that treats can be great for training or rewarding good behaviour.

With so many options on the market, how are you to find the best treat for your doggo? There are a few things you can look out for on the label:

  • Don’t choose treats that include sugar, colourants, or preservatives
  • Avoid treats that contain too much salt or syrups
  • Dogs with allergies should avoid anything with corn, soy, and wheat
  • Treats that contain meats, vegetables, grains, and fruits are best

That’s right, dog treats needn’t be sweet, sugary, or fatty. They can be healthy and wholesome while still being delicious!

Our products have been specifically formulated with the best available meat products, vitamins, and minerals. Plus, they’re as tasty as they are nutritional.
